The state of Maine will be under the microscope when it come to how it addresses the issue of human trafficking. A national advocacy group called Shared Hope International Law Enforcement, civil rights advocates and others came to the table today for a federal hearing on the state of human trafficking in Maine. The goal? Address shortcomings in overall information and available data on how big a problem it is, as well as a lack of resources for victims and more specific legislation.
